Hello and welcome to web tutorial plus! I am Gunjesh Kumar, the lead author of this website. I am an engineering graduate, working as Quality Manager with Tata Motors, India’s largest automobile manufacturer. I live in Jamshedpur which is also called the steel city in India. I am really passionate about computer programming, latest technology and website design & development. Whatever spare time I get on weekends and in the evening after my duties, I like to write in this blog and explore about the new technologies. I also contribute to other leading blogs as guest writer.
On family front – I am a husband to a wonderful wife and a father of a little baby boy. My hobbies, apart from web surfing are watching movies, listening to music, traveling and hanging out with family and friends.
Like many others, I am also a self taught with no formal degree in computer programming or software. But right from my college days, I have been a software geek. While doing my studies, I got the opportunity to develop the website for my institute. This was way back in year 2000 when the web was growing fast but the resources were not easily available. We came up with a website with plain HTML but it was a good kick-start. From that time, I have not seen back and after joining Tata Motors, I have created a number of intranet websites and application. It really helps if you know how to do coding because you understand your work perfectly and can create a web application fully customized and suitable for your needs.
The idea of creating WebTutorialPlus came into my mind when my colleagues got impressed with my work and started asking me how do I create websites and web applications. I started this website in year 2012 with basic guides on html, CSS and website creation. In early days, I thought that I am not a good narrator but as I started receiving good feedback, I decided to convert this website as a blog in Nov 2012 and started writing about web design, development and SEO on regular basis.
Apart from Web, I also like to program in VB for Excel. In excel also; I created a few applications and dashboard for my organization. Although I am not a Pro in excel, my colleagues think that I am and keep me asking questions about excel functions and usability. This made me create a separate section on ‘Advanced Excel’ in this website. Here you will not find the excel basics but something like VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, drop down lists, data validation, trend lines, Gantt Chart, etc. Well, this is for you if you know the Excel basics already!
Web Tutorial Plus is becoming popular in very less time and seeing growth at steady rate. Recently, indiblogger.in who rates the blogs in India, rated web tutorial plus with 90 points out of 100.
